Biography
Canadian-born Lisa Wall-Urgero is based in Southern California, where she works as a freelance singer, actress, musician and studio instructor. With a Bachelor’s Degree in music from California Lutheran University and nearly 30 years of private study in voice and piano, her training was strictly classical. Her training and experiences since then have been greatly varied, from opera chorus to background vocals on a Gothic rock album.
Professionally, Lisa has performed in the Los Angeles and Ventura County areas for 15 years as a soloist, studio singer, church and temple musician, chorister and accompanist.
CREDITS
Her musical theater credits, both on stage and in the orchestra pit, include lead roles in two original musicals, which she counts among her favorite credits.
In addition to performing professionally, Lisa has been teaching and directing since 1991. Her experience includes teaching music in schools, directing children and adults in musical theater, choir, handbells, teaching summer music and drama camps, and consulting on contemporary church music programs. In her private studio, Lisa teaches piano, specializing in theory, sightreading and ear training for beginning to early advanced children and adults
